I cut out this comic strip from the Sunday October 6 newspaper and quietly posted

it on the refrigerator. You get the idea in this first panel. At this time, Lauren was

also having difficulty getting around, sleeping… you name it.

The next evening (Monday October 7) Lauren’s labor began. I will have to double

check, but I believe this date is Labor Day in New Zealand. Two panels from that

day’s comic strip appear below.

We left for the hospital at about 3:00am, tuesday, Oct 8 and Daniel was born at

7:19am. This part of the story didn’t appear in the comic strip until the following

Sunday. By then we had been home for three days.
