4th Annual Research Symposium

At Bard College all students are
required to complete a senior project. This is a yearlong endeavor under the
guidance of an advisor starting with a challenging research problem and
ending with a serious piece of scholarly work. A print version of each
project becomes part of the Charles P. Stevenson, Jr. Library collection. Additionally, all seniors in the
Natural Science and Mathematics Division participate in a Research Symposium
in May. For this event students produce posters detailing their senior
projects, which are formally displayed in the multi-purpose room of the
campus center. During the symposium participants are available to discuss
their projects and answer questions. Many students in this Natural
Science and Mathematics Division also give public talks on their senior
project research. |
